Privacy Policy
Back in 5 is a business name of Cameron Shakespeare, who is an undischarged bankrupt.
This policy explains how Back in 5 ("we", "us") handles personal information under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
What we collect
- Enquiry and chat details: what you type into our website chat or enquiry forms, such as your name, phone number, email, business and what you need.
- Booking details: your name, contact details and the time you choose when you book a call with us.
- Call recordings and transcripts: once our phone lines are live, calls to and from our numbers may be recorded and transcribed.
- For our partners' customers: when we reply to enquiries for a business we work with, we handle the details their customers send, on that business's behalf.
You can ask a general question without giving your name. To reply or book, we need a way to contact you.
Why we collect it
- To reply to your enquiry and book a time to talk.
- To provide our service to the businesses we work with, including replying to and booking their customers.
- To check the quality of our replies and calls, and to keep records we need for the service.
- To send you tips and news, only if you opt in.
We don't sell your personal information.
Where it's stored
We use Cloudflare (to host our website and process enquiries) and Google (for our booking calendar and email). These providers may store or process information outside Australia. We choose providers we consider take reasonable steps to protect it.
How long we keep it
We keep your information only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, then delete or de-identify it.
Call-recording notice
Once our phone lines are live, calls may be recorded and transcribed for quality, training and record-keeping. We'll tell you at the start of a call. If you don't want to be recorded, tell us and we'll help another way, for example by email.
Access and correction
You can ask for the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it. Contact us using the details below. We'll respond within a reasonable time and won't charge you to make a request.
Unsubscribing
Under the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), we only send marketing messages with your consent, we identify ourselves, and every message includes a way to unsubscribe. Use that link or reply "stop", or contact us, and we'll stop within 5 business days.
Complaints
If you're unhappy with how we've handled your information, contact us first and we'll try to fix it. If you're still not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC): oaic.gov.au, 1300 363 992.
